• Question: why did you want to be a physics?

      One of the keywords for this question is ‘why’?
      That’s probably a good answer.
      I like to know WHY things are like they are.
      I also like to know HOW things work.

      That’s sometimes used to explain how scientists are different from engineers. The scientist wants to know why, the engineer how.

      I’m an applied scientist which is kind of half way between the two, which is probably about right because I like to know ‘why’ but I also like to know ‘how’.
