I had an interest in biology and maths when in school. I managed to find a course in University that incorporated both of these subjects- Biomedical Engineering.
I’m now working in the Neurological department in Renishaw. Here we design and manufacture medical devices such a stylette that feeds medicine to specific areas of the brain in order to stimulate the brain. This procedure is commonly used for people with Parkinson’s disease.

My Typical Day:
I am both up testing and at my test designing or writing reports

My days can be very varied. One day I may be tensile testing to determine the strength of some of our products and the next I can be at my desk using a computer aided design software for designing parts for experiments and new products.
