I would say that if you’re interested, then take the sciences for A-Level and don’t forget you need maths too, ideally! I took a gap year to make up my mind about what to do at uni, and in the end I chose the subject I had the most fun doing at school, and that was Physics.
You could also contact universities and ask about work experience. You can learn a lot about science from visiting research laboratories! Also, keep doing stuff like this, where you ask questions of scientists. You might find out something that really sparks your interest 🙂
