Aaron Boardley answered on 9 Nov 2015:

I write about all sorts of engineering.

The Royal Academy of Engineering works with lots of different organisations – each of which might be concerned with a very specific type of engineering. So, while the engineers I speak to might be experts in one particular field, it means my job is really varied.

For example, in the last week I have written about the computer engineering used to design 3D racing car simulators, agricultural engineering used to help farmers’ equipment work better, and civil engineers who are experts at digging tunnels used on big railway projects.
