      I don’t have an answer to this! But, as a fan of The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy, I’m tempted to say: 42!

      As much as it can be fun to ponder questions like this, it’s more the realm of philosophers than scientists (although there’s nothing to stop us all from doing a bit of philosophising). Me? I’m just keen to enjoy life rather than work out ‘what’s it all about?’

      The meaning of life, and the answer to why we are here and exist at all is not something you can know for sure. I don’t think you can even know for sure if there IS an answer to those questions!

      Personally, I think maybe the point of living is so that we can come up with our own answers to these questions. After all, some people live to make music, it’s the thing that makes them happiest, while other people live to help other people. It’s a very personal question.
