      Hi! Thanks for the question. I’m not 100% sure which theory you’re referring to, so I will take your question to mean that you want to know what it is I investigate in the laboratory. I have looked at how nanoparticles can get inside the body (through the gut there are different places particles can get in, and I’ve taken pictures of these using my microscope) and what happens to them once they’re inside. For instance, I discovered that when you eat the nanoparticles I looked at, they get dissolved into your bile (this is something your body makes to help you digest fats, and it works like washing up liquid, breaking the fats into smaller and smaller blobs). Once in the bile, they can cross the gut and get into your blood, then go to the liver. Once in the liver, they get sent to the gall bladder and squirted out back into your gut with another round of bile! This is a recirculation pathway – the particles can go round and round several times. It’s pretty cool, and it helps us understand how the nanoparticles work inside the body.
