My undergraduate degree was a 4 year course called an MPhys (master of Physics, it sounds pretty cool). It was like a cross between a BSc and an MSc (bachelors and masters degree). After that I did a PhD, and that took 3 1/2 years to finish.
A lot of people who have PhDs in Physics end up starting their own businesses, or go into consulting, or work in industries (e.g. laser manufacturing), or go into something completely different like retraining to be teachers, or getting into finance or the field of scientific patenting. There is a lot you can do with Physics!
